Local Government celebrated in Durgapur

National Local Government Day was celebrated in Durgapur, Rajshahi with the slogan "Youth's commitment to building a country, local government in public service". A procession and discussion meeting were held to mark the day.
On Tuesday at 11:30 am, upazila administration organized a discussion meeting in the meeting room under the chairmanship of Executive Officer Sabrina Sharmin. Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sumon Chowdhury, Assistant Secretary of District Jamaat-e-Islami Md. Nuruzzaman Liton, Upazila BNP Convener Kamruzzaman Aynal and others spoke at the discussion meeting.
OC of the police station Durul Hoda, Upazila Health Officer Ruhul Amin, Animal Resources Officer Jannatul Ferdous, Upazila Engineer Masuk-e-Mohammad, heads of various departments, political leaders, local journalists, and many others were present at the meeting.
UNO Sabrina Sharmin said in the discussion meeting that local governments have to operate with limited resources. Due to this, not all public services are implemented properly.
