Raja, Ripon stars on day two against Shaheens

Pacer Ripon Mondal and Rejaur Rahman Raja helped Bangladesh High Performance Unit end the second day of their four-day match against Pakistan Shaheens on a high note at the Marrara Oval in Darwin, Australia on Saturday.
HP Unit bowled out their opponent for 179 in their first innings as Ripon claimed 4-71 while Raja grabbed 3-33 to share seven wickets between them and in the process helped HP Unit earn a first innings lead of 79-run and later reached 84-3 at stumps to extend their lead to 163 runs.
Skipper Mahmudul Hasan Joy and middle-order Aich Mollah were unbeaten on 39 and eight respectively at the end of second day’s game.
Rejaur struck on the second over of the day while Shaheens lost two more wickets in quick succession and were stuttering on 69-5 after they resumed the day's play on 39-2, in reply to HP unit's first innings tally of 258.
Kamran Ghulam (48) and Tayyab Tahir (30) formed a 78-run partnership for the sixth wicket to steady the innings.
