Students of Barishal University (BU) staged a protest rally and assembly on Monday night, condemning the attack on the Bangladesh High Commission in Agartala, India.
The demonstration began at 10:30 PM.
The rally, which started from the university's residential halls, passed through the Vice Chancellor’s building and the Dhaka-Kuakata Highway before concluding on the ground floor of the academic building.
During the protest, students chanted slogans such as "Delhi or Dhaka, Dhaka Dhaka, no to servitude, yes to resistance," "Break India's aggression," and "Why attack Agartala? Delhi, answer now."
At the assembly held afterward, Shamim Ahsan, a student of Accounting and Information Systems, said, "Over the past 15 years, under the Awami League government, the extremist organization ISKCON has been trying to establish radical Hindutva in Bangladesh."
Masum Billah, a student of Soil and Environmental Sciences, stated, "No country can easily dominate ours because we still have a conscious young generation that is vigilant. We, the student community, bow to no one. We do not compromise; we know how to fight back."
