Prof M Niaz Asadullah joins as Visiting Professor at BUHS

Professor Asadullah, Professor M Niaz Asadullah of School of Business, Monas University, Malaysia joined the Department of Health Economics, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Bangladesh University of Health Sciences as a Visiting Professor on January 15, 2024, says a press release.
Professor Asadullah obtained Honors in Economics from Aligarh Muslim University in India in 1996 and Masters in Economics from Oxford University in 2000 and D.Phil in 2005. He received his PGCAP degree from University of Reading, UK in 2010. He is currently a full professor in the Department of Economics at Monas University, Malaysia. Prior to this, he taught economics at various universities including Oxford University, University of Reading, University of Malaya and Dhaka University. Professor M Niaz Asadullah has conducted more than 20 research projects during his teaching career in the university for 22 years.
He has served in various important positions including South East Asian Cluster Head of the Global Labor Organization and Deputy Director of the Poverty Studies Center of Malaysia.
Professor Asadullah is working as a consultant to various international organizations including the World Bank. He has published 74 articles, 77 articles, 5 journal reviews, 15 policy reports and edited numerous books. He received various honors including the REPEC Award as the top five economists in Malaysia.
