Md. Abdul Hakim has held a conference to protest against the threat to his life for obstructing work in Jagir Mahal village under Koyra police station of Khulna district by disobeying court orders.

He raised such allegations through a press conference at his own residence at 11 am on Thursday.

In a written statement at the press conference, he said that I, my 3 brothers and 2 sisters, along with my aunt, have a total of 18 hundred acres of land inherited from my paternal aunt, whose Mouza is SA Khatian No. 677 and 678 SA Dag No. 536 BRS Khatian No. 843 BRS Dag No. 81,639,640,711,713,714,766.

Since my father's time, we have been living peacefully for a long time, with trees and plants planted in the boundary and perimeter, as everyone knows. When Asharaful Alam, Razzak Sardar, Kobad Sardar, Mannan Sardar, Habibar Sardar, came to forcibly occupy our said land, I filed a case as a plaintiff in the learned Upazila Executive Magistrate Court, Koira, whose case number is MR 69/24. In the said case, the court gave an order to maintain the status quo and peace and order based on occupation, showing the reasons. But the above people disobeyed the court order and entered our said land and cut down trees and bushes and built houses.

At the press conference, he further said that when the above defendants including Rahajan Sardar came to cut down trees and bushes and build houses, if we stopped them, they attacked us and threatened that if we stop our work, they will end our lives along with our family, will not let us go out on the road, will break the doors of houses.

The above defendants are working bravely without stopping their work. When I informed the local administration, they came to the spot and despite being forbidden to work, they are working day and night by force. We are helpless to them. Since we are few in number, they are constantly threatening that if we stop our work, they will leave the area and will harass us again by filing a case.

Even while working in my own house, the defendants threatened to cause damage and involve me in false cases, and to seize my land, as a result of which my nephew Md. Ahsan Habib filed a general diary as the plaintiff, GD number 955, dated 21/11/2024.
