Popular Life Insurance wins top award for anti-drug campaigns

Popular Life Insurance PLC has been awarded the first prize for its outstanding anti-drug awareness campaigns, human chains, and rallies organized to prevent substance abuse and mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The award was presented during a discussion meeting and prize-giving ceremony organized by the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital on Friday.
Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, MP, attended the event as the chief guest and handed over the honorary crest to B M Yousuf Ali, the Managing Director and CEO of Popular Life Insurance PLC.
The program was presided over by the Director General of the Department of Narcotics Control, Md. Hasan Maruf, while the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Monzur Murshed Chowdhury, graced the occasion as the special guest.
A large number of foreign diplomats, high-ranking officials from various ministries and government agencies, along with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Ali Hossain Fokir and other top brass of law enforcement agencies, were present at the event to underscore the social and national importance of combating the drug menace.
