Conscious Consumer Forum calls for strike demanding removal of illegally appointed chairman of Islami Bank in Naogaon

The Conscious Customer Forum of Islami Bank Mahadevpur Branch has called for a two-hour 'pen break' to protest the illegal appointment and removal of Islami Bank Chairman Khurshid Alam, deposit protection and police attacks on customers.
A call was made to hold this program in front of the Islami Bank Mahadevpur branch in the Dhanhati area of the upazila on Tuesday from 10 am to noon.
Conscious customers have been gathering in front of the bank since morning. The forum said that this symbolic pen break has become essential to protect the current situation of the bank and the interests of customers. Their main demands are to quickly remove the current 'illegal' chairman of the bank, take effective measures to protect the deposits and interests of ordinary customers, completely boycott the S Alam Group and the cronies of the previous fascist government from the bank, and strongly protest and ensure justice for the recent brutal police attacks on customers.
Responding to this call from the Conscious Customer Forum, officers and employees of all levels of the bank refrained from all types of official work and transactions from 10 am to 12 noon. As a result, banking activities came to a complete standstill for these two hours.
It was observed on the spot that when the Islamic Bank Conscious Customer Forum protested by taking a stand in front of the bank's gate, ordinary customers also expressed solidarity.
