PM inaugurates six dorms, research center in JU

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated six-newly constructed dormitories and a research center of Jahangirnagar University (JU) through video conference on Tuesday.
JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Nurul Alam along with faculties, students, officials and other stakeholders of the university was connected through online from Zahir Raihan Auditorium of the university.
According to the sources within the university, a total of 6000 students can live in the six newly constructed dormitories.
Besides, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated and laid down the foundation stone of 10, 041 structures under 157 projects taken by 24 ministries and divisions. However, the premier inaugurated and laid down the foundation stone of the projects --some of which are developed and others under development -- involving Tk 97, 471 crores virtually from Gono Bhaban end at 10:00am.
