Over 200 illegal gas connections disconnected in Gazipur

Two hundred and 50 illegal gas connections were disconnected in Chandna Chowrasta area in Gazipur and a fine of Tk 2 lakh 35 thousand was collected by operating a mobile court.

Gazipur Deputy Commissioner Executive Magistrate Shahana Afroz conducted the operation with the support of Mamunur Rashid, manager of Titus Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Joydevpur Zone of Gazipur.

Yesterday, two hundred illegal gas connections were disconnected from residences and houses on One Point Gully Road, near Islami Bank, at Gazipur, in Outpara, Shah Alam Bari, Basan Thana area. A total of 15 houses had approximately 250 double stove connections.

Out of approximately 10 points in this area 3/4 connections and 1 other point were disconnected. Illegal gas connections of double stoves of approximately 11 houses were disconnected and approximately 15 meters of disconnected gas pipes were lifted.

The mobile court team collected fines from the owners of approximately 6 houses from the 10-storey building of Lion Properties due to illegal use of gas.

10 people were fined a total of Tk 2 lakh 35 thousand for illegal use of gas connection in residential and residential houses.

Managing Engineer Mamunur Rashid, Deputy Managing Engineers Asaduzzaman Azad and Jaber Noorani, Assistant Engineer Hasan Al Faisal, Deputy Assistant Engineer Md. Jewel Rana, Assistant Officer Sohel Rana and technical team were present in this operation.
