One killed by lightning in Kamalganj

A person named Samuj Mia (30) died due to lightning in Rasulpur village of Parkaushar union of Kamalganj upazila. On Monday morning at 10:30 a.m. he died due to lightning while fishing near his house. He is the son of Mia from the village.
Locals said that lightning started from Monday morning along with the rain. Meanwhile, Samuj Mia died on the spot due to a sudden lightning while going to catch fish. He is newly married. His untimely death cast a shadow of grief on the family.
UP chairman Oli Ahmad Khan confirmed the fact of the incident and said that UNO has informed the upazila administration about the death of the newly married Samuj Mia.
