One killed, five vehicles catch fire after tank lorry overturns in Savar

A man was burnt to death and three people were injured when an oil-laden tank lorry overturned and caught fire on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nazrul Islam, 45. The injured were admitted to Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in Dhaka.
Sources said that the fire soon spread and burnt at least four more vehicles -- a private car.
On information, three firefighting units from Savar and Hemayetpur rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
Md. Babul, the in-charge of Savar Highway Police Station confirmed the matter.
He said that an oil-laden lorry turned turtle and caught fire in Aricha bound lane in Jorpul area of Hemayetpur around 5:00am, leaving one dead.
