 The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected committee members of Reporters' Club, Rangpur, one of the traditional institutions of journalists in Rangpur, was successfully completed on Saturday  at a grand ceremony at the club hall room. 

The chief guest at the oath-taking ceremony was senior journalist Mamun Islam, Rangpur Divisional Chief of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), who administered the oath to the elected members of the executive council.

It is to be noted that a 13-member committee was elected through ballot voting after the general meeting on Saturday afternoon, November 15, 2025. DBC News Senior Reporter and Rangpur Bureau Chief Majed Masud and Daily Khola Kagoj correspondent Mizanur Rahman Lulu were jointly elected as general secretaries after receiving equal votes. Shah Bayezid Ahmed, Rangpur Bureau Chief of 71 TV, was elected as the president of the committee.

After the dissolution of the 2023-2025 Executive Committee, the election ceremony chaired by senior member of the club, Halim Ansari, elected the vice-presidents of the Rangpur division of the Daily Sangram, Mohammad Nuruzzaman, the joint general secretary of Somoy Television, staff reporter Abdur Rashid Jiban, the treasurer of DBC News, Enamul Haque, the organizing secretary of the Daily Prothom Khabar reporter, Shahin Alam of 71 Television, the sports editor of the Daily Inquilab, Rabiul Islam Lavlu, the literary and publicity secretary, and the newsreader of Rangpur Betar, Barnali Zaman.

Also elected as members of the executive committee were Halim Ansari, the senior reporter of the Daily Inquilab, Touhidul Islam Babla, senior journalist Mozaffar Hossain, and Azam Parvez, the Rangpur reporter of Gazi Television.
