Nilphamari Lawyers Association : Jamaat leader Farooq President, Masood of BNP Secretary

District Jamaat Assistant Secretary Adv. Al Farooq Abdul Latif and Municipal BNP General Secretary Adv Al Masud Chowdhury have been elected President and General Secretary of Nilphamari Lawyers Associate respectively in the bi-annual elections on Thursday.
After counting the votes on Thursday night, the returning officer Adv. Abu Ahmed Nurul Zaki Stalin announced the results.
Al Farooq Abdul Latif got 98 votes and elected president. His nearest rival Abu Mohammad Soyam of BNP got 83 votes. Al Masood Chowdhury was elected general secretary by getting 115 votes. His nearest rival, Awami League-backed Kamaruzzaman got 66 votes.
Besides, Abul Kalam Azad was elected as Vice President, Hasnen Imam Sohail as Joint General Secretary, Golam Mostafa Sajeeb as Assistant General Secretary, Asaduzzaman Khan Rino as Treasurer, Anichur Rahman Azad of Jamaat as Library Secretary and Huzur Ali as Secretary of Religion and Culture.
