New chairman in two departments at IU

The authorities of Islamic University (IU) have appointed new Chairmen for two departments. This information was confirmed by Acting Registrar H. M. Ali Hasan on Monday.
Prof Dr. Moha. Mizanur Rahman from the Department of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering has been appointed as the new president of the Pharmacy Department. Meanwhile, Professor Dr. Md. Rashiduzaman from the Bangla Department has been appointed as the new president of the Communication and Multimedia Journalism Department.
Separate notifications regarding these appointments have been issued. The notifications state that according to Article 10(1) of the amended constitution of Islamic University, the appointees will serve as presidents of their respective departments for the next three years and will receive the benefits as per regulations.
Regarding this appointment, Istiak Ahmed Himel, a student from the Communication and Multimedia Journalism Department, expressed, "First of all, I would like to congratulate Professor Dr. Md. Rashiduzaman on his new role as president of our department.
We expect that, through his visionary knowledge and leadership, he will take swift and effective steps to address the existing issues in our department. We believe that under his guidance, our department will reach new heights."
