Necessary arrangements will be made for full rehabilitation of flood victims: CHT Secretary

The Secretary of the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, Md. Mizanur Rahman, visited the flood-affected areas in Dighinala, Khagrachari.
He visited the forested areas of Merung Union of the upazila and inquired about the affected people on Monday.
After the inspection, he joined the relief distribution program organized by the Khagrachari Hill Tracts District Council at the Chhoto Merung Government Primary School grounds.
At the distribution program, the Secretary said that the current government is working tirelessly with sincerity for the flood-affected people. He assured that all necessary arrangements will be made to stand by the flood-affected people and make them fully rehabilitated.
At this time, he ordered the concerned officials to prepare a list of damages, distribute relief, and carry out rehabilitation activities as soon as possible.
In the program organized, necessary relief including food items were distributed among 1,200 affected families.
The relief distribution and inspection program was attended by District Administrator Md. Anwar Sadat, Chief Executive Officer of the Hill District Council Md. Ilias Mehedi, Superintendent of Police Md. Mortoza Ali Khan, Upazila Executive Officer Taljil Parvez, Executive Officer of the District Council Md. Abdullah Al Mahfuz, along with senior administration officials, public representatives and various political leaders.
