As a result of the prompt and effective measures taken by the Dhaka University administration and the hall administration, waterlogging has been resolved in the Bangladesh-Kuwait Friendship Hall and Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall areas.

Currently, the overall life of the students, including the electricity situation in the hall, is normal. All concerned have been urged not to panic in this regard. It is to be noted that due to the adverse weather conditions, all the internal examinations scheduled for Monday have been postponed by the university.

Meanwhile, a 7-member committee has been formed with Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admini) Prof Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani as the convener to quickly deal with any disaster situation at the university and take effective measures. Dr. Mohammad Moniruzzaman Khan, Director of the Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies, will serve as the member-secretary of the committee.

Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam visited Bangladesh-Kuwait Friendship Hall and Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall on Sunday evening..Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani and the provosts and members of the proctorial team of the respective halls were with him at the time.

Incidentally, the Dhaka University administration and the hall administration have been working tirelessly since Sunday morning to resolve waterlogging, restore electricity connection and provide drinking water in the Bangladesh-Kuwait Friendship Hall and Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall areas. Under the leadership of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration), the joint efforts of WASA, DPDC, City Corporation and the University Engineering Department, resolved waterlogging in the respective hall areas overnight, provided electricity connection to the halls and provided drinking water.

The hall administration provided adequate candles, mineral water, and mosquito coils to the students yesterday, July 12. Food has been arranged for the students today, July 13 morning.

The university administration and hall administration are always on hand to help students deal with any crisis and resolve any problems.
