National Vitamin 'A' Plus campaign launched in Kalukhali

Like the rest of the country, the National Vitamin 'A' Plus campaign has been inaugurated in Kalukhali upazila of Rajbari district.
UNO Md Mesbah Uddin inaugurated the programme with Vitamin 'A' Plus capsules in the mouth of the children at 10 am on Sunday.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Ishrat Jahan Oommen and other officials of the hospital were present on the occasion.Vitamin 'A' plus capsules will be fed at 169 centers in Kalukhali upazila this year. The target is to feed 3,000 children aged 6 months to 11 months and 23,000 children between the ages of 12 months and 59 months.Blue capsules will be given to children aged 6 months to 11 months and red capsules will be given to children between 12 months and 59 months.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Israt Jahan Oommen said, "Feed your child vitamin 'A' capsules to improve the child's eyesight, boost immunity and prevent complications related to malnutrition.
