National Vitamin 'A' Plus Campaign inaugurated in Barguna

The National Vitamin 'A' Plus Campaign was officially inaugurated in Barguna on.Sunday as part of the countrywide health initiative to ensure the well-being of children and safeguard them from preventable diseases.
Barguna Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Miz Taslima Akter formally launched the drive in the morning as the chief guest by administering Vitamin 'A' capsules to infants at the Barguna Pourashava Center. Barguna Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Abul Fattah presided over the inaugural ceremony.
Barguna Superintendent of Police Md. Kudrat-E-Khuda PPM graced the occasion as the special guest. The event was also attended by Barguna Press Club President Hafizur Rahman, various media representatives, District Chhatra Dal Secretary Roni, and senior officials and field workers of the district health department.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers emphasized that the National Vitamin 'A' Plus Campaign plays a monumental role in boosting children's natural immunity, preventing malnutrition, and eradicating childhood night blindness. Highlighting the long-term health benefits of the supplement, they urged parents and guardians from all segments of society to bring their eligible children to the nearest designated centers without fail.
According to the district health department, comprehensive logistical and administrative preparations were completed across all designated centers in the district prior to the launch.
A dedicated team of health workers and volunteers remained deployed throughout the day to ensure the smooth, seamless execution of the campaign and to achieve total coverage.
