Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET) celebrated National Revolution and Solidarity Day-2026 with due dignity and solemnity.

On the occasion, various programmes, including the hoisting of the national flag, a discussion meeting and a special prayer, were organized on the university campus on Saturday.

The day's first programme began with the hoisting of the National Flag and the University Flag, followed by paying due respect. The flags were hoisted by Colonel Hla Han Maung, PBGM (Retd.), Acting Treasurer and Controller of Examinations of the University and Md. Ashraful Islam, Deputy Registrar (Academic). 

The second session featured a discussion meeting at 10:00 am at the university's Panorama Building, highlighting the historical significance of the day. The meeting was conducted by Arifa Sultana, Lecturer (Bangla), Department of Sociology. Among the speakers were students Ilma Jahan from the Department of Information and Communication Engineering (ICE) and Tasminul Hasan Nihal from the Department of Business Administration, as well as Palash Hossain, Lecturer, Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), and Md. Barkat Ullah, Lecturer, Department of Physics.

The speakers highlighted the historical significance of National Revolution and Solidarity Day and emphasized its importance in safeguarding the country's independence, sovereignty, national unity and solidarity.

Heads of various departments, faculty members, the Proctor, Student Welfare Adviser, Hall Provosts, officers, employees and students of the university were present at the programme. Furthermore, a special prayer was offered after Zohr prayer at the BAUET Central Mosque.
