A rally and discussion meeting were held in Patuakhali on the occasion of Local Government Day.
A rally started from the Dashmina Upazila Parishad premises at 10:30 am on Tuesday and ended at the starting point after circumambulating the important roads of the city.
Later, a discussion meeting was held in the Upazila Parishad Hallroom under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Md. Irtiza Hasan and the moderator of Upazila Statistics Officer Md. Monurul Haque. At this time - Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishi Bid Zafar Ahmed, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mostafizur Rahman, Secondary Education Officer Selim Mia, Upazila Social Service Officer Mushfiqur Rahman, Upazila Youth Development Officer Rafiqul Islam, Academy Supervisor Mu Nesar Uddin, RDO Arif Hossain, ICT Officer Dewan Md. Ziaur Rahman, various government and private sector officials, Banshbaria Union Parishad Chairman Kazi, Charborhan Union Parishad Chairman Nazir Sardar, and Alipur Union Parishad Chairman Takikur Rahman Sagar, along with local dignitaries, were present.
