
Narail District Police pays tributes to language martyrs

SP Kazi Ehsanul Kabir laid wreaths at the martyrs' altar in Narail. The great martyrs' day commemorates the bloody language movement and the International Mother Language Day.
This day is a day of sorrow and glory in the history of Bangladesh. On this day in 1952, Salam, Rafiq, Barkat, Jabbar and many others were martyred when the Pakistani army opened fire on students who were protesting for making Bengali one of the state languages of Pakistan.
On the occasion of the Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day, Kazi Ehsanul Kabir, Superintendent of Police, Narail, paid deep respect to the memory of the martyrs of the great language movement and placed a wreath at the altar of language martyrs at the Shahid Minar located in the premises of the Narail District Shilpakala Academy for one minute on Thursday.
Mir Shariful Haque, DIO 1; Md. Sajedul Islam, OC of Sadar Police Station, Md. Shahadara Khan (PPM), OC of the District Detective Branch and in-charges of various units of the district police were present.
