Munshiganj Press Club honors National Badminton Champion Prachurya with Commemorative Memento

Munshiganj Press Club has presented a commemorative memento to Kazi Jannatul Rahim Prachurya for becoming the champion in the singles category of the 53rd Winter National Sports Competition 2025 at the national level in badminton.
The event was held on Thursday at the Shafiuddin Auditorium of Munshiganj Press Club.
The chief guest of the event was Additional IGP Md. Golam Rasul, while the special guests included Superintendent of Police Muhammad Shamsul Alam Sarkar and Nasiruddin Elan, Director of Odhikar.
The event was presided over by Munshiganj Press Club President Bashir Uddin Jewel, with a welcome speech given by General Secretary Sujon Haider Jony. Senior journalists of Munshiganj Press Club, along with members of the executive committee, were also present at the event.
It is noteworthy that the 53rd Winter National Sports Competition 2025 began at the district level earlier this year. In the singles category of badminton, Kazi Jannatul Rahim Prachurya, a ninth-grade student of Kazi Komor Uddin (KK) Government Boys' High School in Munshiganj, emerged as the champion at both the district and divisional levels.
As a result, Prachurya was selected to participate in the national-level competition. The competition was held in Chattogram from February 22 and lasted for three days.
Competing in four matches, Prachurya won three, securing the championship title in the Padma Zone of the national-level competition.
