A young woman named Anika Akhtar (25) was killed by her mother and brother during a fight in Fatickchari.

Police said mother choked Anika and brother stabbed her. Police have arrested the mother and brother in this incident.

The incident took place at the house of Sona Mia Haji of Harualchhari Union of the upazila on Sunday afternoon.

The police recovered the body at around 9:30 pm and sent it to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue.

The deceased Anika is the daughter of Nazim Uddin, a Saudi resident of the area. She has two children aged four years and five months. Nihr's mother Rokhsana Akhtar and younger brother Rokan Uddin were arrested by the police at night in this incident.

Union Council member Jahur Alam quoted the locals and said that for a long time there was a quarrel between mother, son and sister. Even on the day of the incident, there was a quarrel between them. At this stage of the afternoon, after closing the door of the house, the mother and son tied his hands and feet and hit him on the upper body, and at one point he died.

Nashir Uddin, deceased's uncle, said that even though Anika is married, she lives in her father's house for a long time. He used to live in a rented house for a while. There was almost a fight with mother daughter and younger brother. She has a 4-year-old son and a 6-month-old daughter.

OC of Bhujpur Police Station Mahbubul Haque said that immediately after the incident, Anika's mother and younger brother were arrested in a raid at night. They admitted the incident. A case has been filed in this incident.
