Madrasa student rescued 5 days after abduction in Pirojpur

Police rescued a madrasa student named Tamanna Akhtar (11) from Indurkani, Pirojpur, 5 days after her abduction.
The madrasa student was rescued from an area in Gopalganj district on Friday night, Indurkani Police said.
The rescued madrasa student is a sixth-grader at Upazila Ghosherhat BGS Mahila Dakhil Madrasa. She is the daughter of Ishaq Talukdar of Dakshin Bhabanipur village.
The student's mother, Hazera Begum, said that on Monday morning (January 7), Riday Gazi (26), son of Dulal Gazi of the same area, and his friend Tamanna Akhtar were abducted from the road on their way to the madrasa. Tamanna has not been found since then. Tamanna was rescued from Riday's aunt's house on Friday night with the help of police.
Indurkani Police Station OC Maruf Hossain said the madrasa student was rescued and handed over to her mother.
