Miscreants harvest farmer's paddy in Baraigram

In Baraigram upazila of Natore, some miscreants have been accused of cutting the standing paddy of a farmer named Zakir Hossain's land recently.
Farmer Zakir Hossain filed a complaint/case in the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Md. Towhidur Rahman Sumon of Baraigram Administrative Court. He is the son of the deceased Montaj Ali of Haroa village of the upazila.
According to his complaint and local sources, miscreants cut 25 decimal of his land of the mature Eri paddy on Sunday last, taking advantage of the farmer's absence. The yield of which is estimated at 20 maunds and worth 34 thousand taka.
Zakir Hossain's mother Nurjahan Begum's own property under the R.S. 229 Khatian at plot no. 1096 of Haroa Mouza of the upazila. Zakir Hossain cultivated Eri rice on 25 decimal of the land in the said area on time. As it was ripe, he was preparing for cutting. In the meantime, about 15/16 miscreants led by Tosir Ali from the area took sticks, strips, axes, sickles and hastily cut off the upper part of the mature rice on the land. The valuable straw for cow fodder remained standing on the land.
