Ministry of Youth and Sports, BID Foundation to work together with DU to develop students as skilled human resources

To build a prosperous new Bangladesh by developing students as skilled human resources, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the non-governmental organization BID Foundation will jointly undertake various cooperative activities with Dhaka University.
This was discussed in a meeting between Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan and Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md. Rezaul Maksud Zahedi at the Vice Chancellor's Lounge on Wednesday.
Dhaka University Proctor Associate Prof Saifuddin Ahmed, Arbori Culture Center Director Prof Dr. Mohammad Jasim Uddin and BID Foundation CEO Md. Shahid Uddin Akbar, along with senior officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports were present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed the upcoming ‘Youth Festival’ and ‘International Nutrition Olympiad’ on the Dhaka University campus.
The festival will include various activities including workshops, cultural programs, skill competitions, financial grants, scholarships, various sports competitions, youth entrepreneurship gatherings, a painting exhibition on the July Uprising, an anti-corruption cartoon exhibition, and a health service campaign. In addition, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the BID Foundation will provide overall support to the ongoing Green Campus and Clean Campus programs at Dhaka University.
The meeting also discussed the provision of sports equipment to the university, installation of environmentally friendly dustbins on the campus, installation of mobile public toilets, and organizing various programs including public awareness seminars and workshops in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the BID Foundation.
