Market will stabilize if pressure eases: Food Adviser Imam Majumdar

Food Adviser to the interim Government Ali Imam Majumdar said, two metric tons of rice is being provided to the upazilas on OMS every working day. If necessary, we will increase it further. If the pressure in the market gradually eases, the market will stabilize. As a result, it will be beneficial for the common people.
The food adviser told these to reporters after a meeting with the divisional commissioner of Barisal division, including all the deputy commissioners and district food controllers, on the targets and achievements of the current season's aman collection at the conference room of Barisal Circuit House on Monday afternoon.
Ali Imam Majumdar also said, aman is late in the Barisal region. However, we hope that it will be possible to collect aman according to the deadline set for aman.
Barishal will also be successful in the work that it has been successful in the past. He further said, rice is being imported from different countries. Rice is being imported into the country not to keep it in the warehouse at a reasonable price. The initiative has been taken to increase the target quantity.
However, we will not take the initiative to increase the target quantity in the government warehouse right now. Because after taking it to the government warehouse, we release it in the market .
