Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, MP, is scheduled to arrive in Lalmonirhat tomorrow (Saturday, July 4) to attend the grand inauguration of the social welfare program 'Alokito Lalmonirhat'.

A high-profile delegation will accompany the LGRD minister, including Minister for Women and Children Affairs and Social Welfare Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, MP; Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Asadul Habib Dulu, MP; and State Minister for Water Resources Farhad Hossain Azad, MP.

The inaugural ceremony will commence at 3:00 PM at the town's M T Hossain Institute grounds, with Lalmonirhat Deputy Commissioner Muh. Rashedul Haque Prodhan presiding over the event.

In anticipation of the ministers' arrival, the district town has been colorfully decorated. Major intersections and road islands have been adorned with placards and festoons, and a massive pandal has been built at the venue to accommodate the gathering.

When asked about the initiative, the founder of 'Alokito Lalmonirhat', Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu, MP, said that the platform represents a strict movement against rampant social crimes. He noted that drugs, gambling, child marriage, and dowry have become silent terrors in almost every household, constantly breaking families, derailing children's futures, and destroying countless dreams. He added that the time to remain silent has passed and it is now time to resist.

Minister Dulu further said that this is not just an ordinary event, but a commitment and a call to stand up for the next generation. He urged citizens to attend and speak out, emphasizing that this is a collective fight rather than an individual one, and requires everyone to stand side by side.
