Dhaka DC Farida Khanam beside visually impaired JU student Didarul

Dhaka Deputy Commissioner (DC) Farida Khanam has extended financial support to Didarul Islam, a visually impaired student of the Public Administration Department at Jahangirnagar University, to help him overcome financial hurdles and continue his higher education.

The DC personally handed over a financial assistance cheque to Didarul Islam at the Dhaka Deputy Commissioner's office on Thursday afternoon.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Farida Khanam emphasized that standing by underprivileged and special-needs students is not just a humanitarian duty, but a vital effort to smooth their path forward. She reaffirmed that the government and the district administration are working sincerely to ensure that no student falls behind or drops out due to physical limitations or financial constraints. The DC assured Didarul of continued administrative assistance throughout his academic journey and wished him a bright and successful future.

Upon receiving the cheque , Didarul Islam expressed his deep gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner, stating that this timely assistance would serve as a major source of inspiration for him to pursue his studies with renewed dedication.

Senior officials of the Dhaka district administration were also present during the brief handover ceremony.
