Learning Management System and Examination Automation System activities have been started for the teachers of various departments under the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences in order to bring the education program of Dhaka University under automation.

University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal inaugurated these activities as the chief guest in the auditorium of the Department of Geology on Wednesday.

Dhaka University Earth and Environmental Sciences Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman presided over the ceremony, University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Sitesh Chandra Bachar spoke as special guest. Learning Management System and Examination Automation System activities were presented by the Director of ICT Cell of the University. Mohammad Asif Hossain Khan. Teachers of various departments of the faculty were present.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal said, Learning Management System and Examination Automation System activities have been started from the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences with the aim of bringing every activity of the university under automation. This program will be introduced in all faculties gradually.

Through this, various activities including teaching and examination of the teachers will be more modern and examination results can be published at the right time. The Vice-Chancellor expressed optimism that under these automation systems, the quality of education and research of the university will improve, dynamics will come in the overall management and transparency and accountability will be ensured in all areas.

It is noted that under this automation, teachers can view and control their assigned courses, teaching and examination activities through the dashboard by logging into their respective accounts.

Besides, students can view class attendance, scheduled semester or year courses, class attendance, various exam results and all information about classes through their own dashboard. Dhaka University ICT Cell is in overall management and support of these activities.
