JU Prof Tawhidul nominated as research fellow at UN University

Jahangirnagar University's (JU) Institute of Remote Sensing and GIS Director Professor Sheikh Tawhidul Islam has been nominated as a Senior Research Fellow of United Nations University, Canada.
A press release signed by acting Director of Public Relations Office Md Mohiuddin confirmed the matter on Monday.
“Prof Tawhidul Islam has been nominated as Senior Research Fellow for playing a role in education, research and knowledge dissemination on disaster management and climate change analytics for the South Asia region,” the press release read.
“Professor Islam has nearly two decades of experience in policy-making, article publishing, and research at national and international levels. He has published over 50 research articles and 70 national reports on disaster management, environment, and development for renowned publishing houses,” the press release mentioned.
Meanwhile, JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Nurul Alam congratulated him for the outstanding achievement.
