On the last day of filing nomination papers for the Rangpur City Corporation polls, Jatiya Party and Awami League nominated plow and boat marker candidates submitted their nomination papers on 29 November 2022 Tuesday.

Jatiya Party's nominated candidate Mustafizar Rahman Mostofa and Awami League's nominated candidate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia at the regional election office at 12:30 pm on Tuesday yesterday submitted their nomination papers as plow marker candidate and boat marker candidate in the hands of returning officer Abdul Baten.

Jatiya Party Vice Chairman and Rangpur Metropolitan General Secretary and Convener of Election Management Committee SM Yasir, Central Vice Chairman and Rangpur District Convener Bir Muktijoddha Abul Masud Chowdhury Nantu, Central Organizing Secretary and District Member Secretary Abdur Razzak were present during the nomination submission of Jatiya Party. Nomination papers will be selected on December 1. And the last date for withdrawal of nomination is December 8, the token will be allotted on December 9. Voting will be held on December 27 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. In addition to EVMs, CCTV cameras will be installed in the polling stations.
