Nilphamari Correspondent
Maulana Abdul Halim, Assistant Secretary General and Director of Rangpur-Dinajpur region of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami said, Jamaat-e-Islami wants to make Bangladesh a welfare state through the laws of Quran. The principle of Jamaat's state management is the Quoran . There are Hindus, Christians and Buddhists in our country. When we govern the country through the Qur'an, everyone will have the rights of everyone.
He said this while addressing as the chief guest a reception and iftar party of the newly elected executive committee members of the Nilphamari District Lawyers Committee organized by the Jamaat-e-Islami Nilphamari district branch on Sunday afternoon.
Maulana Abdul Halim said, the Quran was revealed in the holy month of Ramadan. This Quran is a guidance for people. Peace will come to the country if we obey the Quran. He says 2 happiness for the faster. One happiness is Iftar and another happiness is the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. Besides, there is a final happiness when you meet your Lord. There is an opportunity to meet God through fasting.
Maulana Abdul Halim demanded the maximum punishment for the killers of Magura's child Achia, saying that the brutal murder of Achia has shocked the whole world. He said that the name of Achiya coincided with the name of a heavenly
woman in the history of Islam. None of us can accept this brutal murder. Those who committed this crime are lower than animals. Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman went to Achiya's house and took responsibility for his family. He also said that the root of these crimes in the society is the lack of knowledge of Islam. Lack of Qur'anic teaching. If we do not take care of our children as Islamic principles then it is not possible to suppress these incidents by law. For this, parents should keep a special eye on their children.
Rangpur-Dinajpur region team member Abdur Rashid spoke as a special guest and it was conducted by District Jamaat Secretary Maulana Antajul Islam and presided over by District Amir Principal Maulana Abdus Sattar at Asha Community Center in the city.
District Jamaat Nayeb Ameer, Khairul Anam, elected president of Neelphamari Lawyers Association, Assistant Secretary of District Jamaat Adv Al-Farooq Abdul Latif and General Secretary Adv Al Masud Chowdhury spoke among others.
After the discussion, the chief guest handed over crest to the newly- elected committee members of the District Bar Association.
