Jamaat leaders met martyrs' relatives in Rangpur

As part of the central program, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur Metropolitan Branch have met the relatives of those martyred by the police in the recent student movement and met the relatives of those martyred, consoled them and provided financial assistance on Saturday.

Maulana Momtaz Uddin, Assistant Director of Rangpur-Dinajpur region and the Central Executive Council member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was present as chief guest and Prof. Mahbubar Rahman Belal, Rangpur-Dinajpur region team member and the Central Executive Council member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e- Islami were present as special guest on the occasion.

Rangpur City Jamaat Ameer ATM Azam Khan, Rangpur City Jamaat-e- Islami Naibe Ameer Professor Anwarul Islam, Central Labor leader Professor Abul Hashem Badal, Jamaat Leader Anwarul Islam Kajal, Advocate Kawshar Ali, Maulana Shahjahan Sirazi, Shibir President of Rangpur City Golam Zakaria and among other leaders were also present.

The chief guest Maunana Mumtaz Uddin told the relatives of the martyrs, "Jamaat as a responsible organization we have come to meet you. The loss of your family will never be repaired. But we will be with your family forever."

Special guest Professor Mahbubar Rahman Belal said, "The nation will never forget the sacrifices you made to free the country from the beastly rule of Sheikh Hasina. We pray to Almighty Allah to accept them as martyrs.”

It is to be noted that the Jamaat leaders went to the house of Martyr Muslim Uddin Milan, at the resident of East Ganeshpur in Rangpur metropolis, and Martyr Manik Mia, at the resident of Ghagat Para, among the martyrs in the recent movement. Later, Jamaat leaders visited Rangpur Medical College Hospital to visit the injured people in the agitation and prayed for their speedy recovery.
