Introductory meeting held for DU Criminology Department students

The introductory meeting of the students of the 'Professional Masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice' program of the Dhaka University Criminology Department was held on Friday at the University's Professor Mozaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
Dhaka University Social Science Faculty Dean and Criminology Department Founder Chairman Professor Dr. Chairperson of the department Shaharia Afrin gave a welcome speech on the occasion under the chairmanship of Zia Rahman. Teachers and students of the department were present on the occasion.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal welcomed the students of Master's program and said that the Department of Criminology is a modern and diverse department. He expressed hope that the teachers and students of the department will play an effective role in crime prevention in the society by providing recommendations and suggestions to the concerned through basic research.
