
International Slseminar on Literature and Arts held at JnU

The International Seminar on Literature and Arts was held at Jagannath University .Speakers discussed the literary works and research of Rabindranath Tagore.
The seminar titled "Infinite Rabindranath: Open Research Fields" was organized by the Bengali Department on Wednesday at the central auditorium of the University. City Bank sponsored the event.
Dr. Milton Biswas, Chairman of the Bengali Department, chaired the seminar, and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Husneara Begum, was the chief guest. They emphasized Tagore's contributions across various literary genres and his timeless impact.
The main speaker, Dr. Masuduzzaman, a renowned researcher and recipient of the Bangla Academy Award, discussed Tagore's works extensively, highlighting his letters and views on British colonialism.
Dr. Jyotshna Chattopadhyay, Head of the Bengali Department at Rabindra Bharati University, emphasized understanding Tagore through his family members and mentioned how his influence transcends through different literary forms and generations of writers.
Dr. Moazzem Shami, a member of the seminar committee and a professor at the Bengali Department, welcomed the participants, emphasizing the importance of exploring Tagore's legacy for students and educators alike.
Students and faculty members from various departments attended the seminar.
