International Mother Language Day observed in Baraigram

Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day was observed with due dignity in Baraigram, Natore.
At the first hour of February 21, Upazila Administration placed wreaths at the central Shaheed Minar in the Banpara Municipality premises.
UNO Laila Jannatul Ferdous and Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Banpara Municipality Administrator Md. Ashraful Islam it. Various political parties and affiliated organizations also paid their homages to language martyrs.
Besides, at 10 AM, Upazila Administration organized a discussion meeting and prize distribution ceremony at the Upazila Parishad conference room.
The event was presided over by UNO Laila Jannatul Ferdous and moderated by Youth Development Officer Rafiqul Islam. Among the speakers were Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Banpara Municipality Administrator Md. Ashraful Islam, Agricultural Extension Officer Mahadi Hasan, former Upazila BNP President Advocate Md. Abdul Kader, Upazila Jamaat Amir Md. Habibur Rahman, and Baraigram Police Investigation Officer Mahbub Hossain.
The event was attended by officials from various government departments, freedom fighters, journalists from print and electronic media, and enthusiastic students. After the discussion, prizes were awarded to the winners of poetry recitation and essay competitions.
