Inter-University Debating Competition begins at DU

A 8-day long 'Inter-University Debating Competition 2023' started on Friday at the Student-Teacher Center Auditorium under the slogan 'I want to win too'.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal was present as the chief guest and inaugurated the competition.
President of DUDS. In the opening ceremony presided over by Mahbubur Rahman Masum, Chief Moderator of DUDS Prof. Mahbooba Nasreen and Democracy International's Strengthening Political Landscape Program Chief of Party Ms. Dana L. Olds was the special guest speaker. DUDS general secretary Fuad Hossain conducted the program.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal said, a debater's arguments, counter-arguments and philosophies gain much acceptance from family, society and the state. Highlighting the importance of debating in building a developed, prosperous, humane and civilized society, he further said that the activities of debating among students at all levels of the university should be increased. A civilized and rational person by regularly engaging in debate practice Vice-Chancellor called upon the students to work for the development of the country.
Note that 24 university debate teams are participating in this 8-day long debate competition.
