Inter-dist robber gang 'Sardar Boma Khorshed ' arrested in Rajbari

The District Detective Branch (DB) of the Rajbari police has arrested Khorshed alias Boma Khorshed (53), the leader of an inter-district gang of robbers. District Superintendent of Police (SP) Shamima Parveen confirmed this information on Sunday
Khorshed was arrested in a raid in Islam Nagar Bazar area of Ashulia, Dhaka district on Saturday
Khorshed alias Boma Khorshed is the son of A. Mandal of Chandani Harindhara area of Rajbari district.
Police said that 40,000 taka, a pair of earrings weighing five annas and a rati, and a gold ring weighing two annas were recovered from him at that time.
At a press conference at the district police conference room around 2:30 pm on Sunday (April 13), the Superintendent of Police said that four robberies occurred at Rajbari Sadar and Baliakandi police stations between November 26 last year and February 18 this year. Cases have been filed in these incidents.
A total of eight cases are pending against Khorshed in various police stations of Rajbari and other districts in this incident. Earlier, six more members of the said gang were arrested. Two of them have given confessional statements in court under Section 164.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (Pangsha Circle) Debabrata Sarkar, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajbari Sadar Police Station Md. Mahmudur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Rajbari District Detective Branch Mofizul Islam and other officials of the district police were present.
