Lost madrasa student rescued by Paba police , reunited with family in Rajshahi

Rajshahi Bureau

A six-year-old madrasa student, found lost and crying in Rajshahi’s Paba upazila, was rescued and safely reunited with his family by Paba thana police.

The incident occurred on Friday at  around 3:00 pm, at Lakshmipur Mor in Paba thana. Traffic Sergeant Md. Ibne Said spotted the distressed child and approached him. After comforting the boy, the sergeant learned that he had left his madrasa and was unable to find his way back, causing him to cry in fear. The child could not provide his name or his father’s name, only mentioning that he studied at a madrasa in Rajshahi city.

Sergeant Said informed Paba thana, and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Md. Nizamul Haque, along with his team, arrived at the scene. They took the boy to the police station for safety.

Pabna thana  OC  Md. Azizur Rahman, talked  to  the child and gathered that his family lived in the Nowhata area of Rajshahi city, though he originally hailed from Nilphamari district. The boy was a residential student at a madrasa in the city and had wandered off, ending up at Lakshmipur Mor.

After contacting the family, Paba thana police handed the child over to his relatives. The boy’s father expressed immense relief and gratitude, thanking the police and others involved in the rescue.
