Inter-dist dacoit of 15 cases arrested in Pagla

Pagla police station of Gafargaon, Mymensingh arrested inter-district dacoit Raihan (40), accused in 15 cases including murder and robbery.
On Saturday (March 4) night led by Pagla Police Station OC Mohammad Rasheduzzaman, SI Roman Mia, ASI Anwar and Habib conducted a raid based on secret information and arrested dacoit Raihan from Trimohani Bridge area of Sripur Upazila of Gazipur district. He is the son of Abdur Rashid Khokon of Beldia village in Pagla police station area of the upazila.
Confirming the fact of the arrest, Pagla police station OC Mohammad Rasheduzzaman said that dacoit Raihan has 15 cases of murder, robbery and arms dealing in Gafargaon, Pagla, Sreepur, Kaliakair and Pakundia police stations.
Among them there are 8 robberies, 3 murders, 2 thefts and 2 weapons cases.
The OC also said that the news of the arrest of the notorious dacoit Raihan has brought relief to the area. Arrested in the related case on Sunday morning and sent to Mymensingh court.
