Water Resources Minister Shohid Uddin Chowdhury Anee, MP on Wednesday said, that effective measures will be taken in coordination with the administration, law enforcement agencies, and public representatives to further improve the law and order situation in Chattogram district.
The Minister made these remarks while speaking to reporters following a special exchange of views meeting on the law and order situation of Chattogram district held at the Chattogram Circuit House on Wednesday.
He said that integrated action will be taken to control and eradicate narcotics, recover illegal weapons, prevent crimes such as theft, robbery, and mugging, and clamp down on illegal activities including hill cutting and unauthorized sand extraction.
The special meeting of the Chattogram District Law and Order Coordination Committee was attended by Members of Parliament, the Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation, the Divisional Commissioner, the Deputy Commissioner, senior officials of law enforcement agencies, and key administrative officers.
