Int'l Snakebite Awareness Day observed at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital

A rally and discussion meeting were held at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) on Saturday morning to observe International Snakebite Awareness Day.
Organized under the slogan "Take immediate action to save lives," the awareness initiative highlighted the necessity of community participation to reduce mortality and long-term disabilities resulting from snakebites across the country.
The rally traversed the main avenues surrounding Mymensingh Medical College before concluding on the hospital premises. MMCH Deputy Director Dr. Md. Zakiul Islam led the event alongside Assistant Director (Admin) Dr. Md. Main Uddin Khan, Assistant Director (Finance) Sheikh Ali Reza Siddiqui, and Resident Physician (Medicine) Dr. Jhantu Sarkar.
Physicians, nursing staff, administrative personnel, and medical students from Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital participated in the rally and subsequent interactive session to emphasize timely medical intervention for snakebite victims.
