Int'l Mother Language, Martyrs' Day observed in Gopalganj

International Mother Language Day and Martyrs' Day was celebrated in Gopalganj.
On the occasion, Gopalganj District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamruzzaman and district administration officials paid their respect to all the language martyrs by laying flowers at the Gopalganj Municipal Shaheed Minar at 12:01 am.
Then, members of the district police force including Police Superintendent Md. Mizanur Rahman and the district freedom fighter commander paid their respects. On behalf of the Gopalganj Jail Police, Tania Zaman of the district paid tribute to the martyrs of the 1952 language movement. Media workers of Gopalganj district paid tribute. Then, leaders and activists of various political and social organizations paid tribute one by one. Students, teachers and teachers of various educational institutions paid tribute to the martyrs.
Leaders and activists of several medical organizations and doctors working in the district. Afterwards, people from all walks of life paid tribute to the martyrs of the language movement by placing flowers.
