Installation ceremony of Barguna Dist Journalists Association in Dhaka held

The installation ceremony of the elected committee of the Barguna District Journalists' Association in Dhaka was held at a restaurant in the capital on Saturday afternoon.
Journalists from Barguna working in various media outlets in Dhaka as well as leaders and activists of professional organizations participated in the event.
Barishal Divisional Journalists Association President Tariqul Islam Masum was present as the chief guest at the event. The organization's advisor, TRI World Turkey's Bangladesh representative Kamruzzaman Bablu, Sohag Yunuch, Bashed Akon, former member of parliament Professor Dr. Abdur Rahman Khokon, Patharghata Upazila Association President Advocate Abdul Karim, General Secretary Lion Nasir Ahmed, Patharghata Foundation President Mostafizur Rahman Shahin, Barguna District Association President Ziaul Kabir Dulu, and National Labor Party Chairman Lion Faruk Rahman spoke.
The speakers called for unity in working towards the development of Barguna's socio-economic, education, health, tourism, river erosion prevention and road communication system. They also demanded the formation of a separate ministry for the coastal areas for the development of people living along rivers and seashores.
This organization will play an important role in the professional development, mutual cooperation and camaraderie of journalists. In addition, it will bring every journalist from Barguna based in Dhaka to the same platform so that we can stand by each other and solve professional problems together, the speakers said.
Later, the guests welcomed the organization's President Abdul Khalek Lavlu and General Secretary Toufiq Mahmud, senior vice president Salim Gazi, vice president Abu Zafar, HM Touhid Aziz, joint secretaries MA Azim, Ruqaiya Nazrin, Gazi Shahin, treasurer Al Amin Raju, organizing secretary Miron Ahmed, office secretary M Solaiman, sports and cultural secretary Nahid Prince, publicity and publication secretary Sohag Biswas, training and research secretary Ahmed Ferdous Khan, public welfare secretary Miraj Hossain, executive committee members Fahim Monayem, Nasir Uddin, Kabirul Islam, Shahadat Hossain Babul, Touhidul Islam, and Abu Saleh Musa with flowers.
The event was presided over by the organization's president, Abdul Khalek Lavlu, and moderated by General Secretary Toufiq Mahmud.
