Fertilizer sellers form human chain in Matiranga, submit memo

Khagrachhari Correspondent

A human chain has been held in Matiranga, Khagrachari demanding the retention of ID card holders of retail fertilizer sellers and T, O licenses.

The human chain program was held at around 11:30 am on Monday  near the Upazila Parishad.

The speakers from the human chain said that the government has threatened the existence of 44,000 retail fertilizer sellers in the country by abolishing the old policy and formulating new policies. In this agriculture-dependent country, if farmers do not have money during the cultivation season, dealers are engaged in delivering fertilizer to their doorsteps. If the government does not fully maintain the previous policy and maintains the new policy, it will make us unemployed. Therefore, we strongly demand from the human chain that the government fully consider the new policy.  Otherwise, we will be forced to give a more detailed program.

Finally, the leaders of the Retail Fertilizer Sellers Association of Bangladesh submitted a memorandum to the Agriculture Secretary through the UNO
