
Injured monkey rescued after being electrocuted in Srimangal

Bangladesh Wildlife Service Foundation in Srimangal has rescued a monkey that was injured by an electric wire in Srimangal, Moulvibazar.
The monkey was given treatment and handed over to the local forest department authorities on Tuesday (June 10) morning.
Locals saw the monkey lying injured after being electrocuted at the house of a man named Subhan Mia in Paschim Baraura village of Sadar Union of the upazila and informed the Wildlife Service Foundation. Upon receiving the information, Wildlife Service Foundation Director Swan Deb Sajal rushed to the spot and rescued the seriously injured monkey. Sajal Dev said that the monkey was seriously injured after being electrocuted.
After the rescue, the monkey was given medical treatment at the Veterinary Hospital of the Srimangal Animal Resources Department and handed over to the Forest Department office in Srimangal.
