On the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, all import-export trade and other activities at Hili Land Port in Dinajpur will remain closed on Saturday (September 6). However, passport holders will be able to cross the border as usual through the Hili Immigration Checkpost.
Ferdous Rahman, President of the Bangla Hili C&F Agent Association, confirmed the matter on Friday afternoon.
He stated that due to the government holiday on the birth anniversary of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), import-export trade will be suspended as per the decision of traders from both countries. However, normal import-export activities will resume on Sunday.
Ariful Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Hili Immigration Checkpost, said that although import-export trade will be closed on Saturday for Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, passport holder crossing operations at the immigration checkpost will continue as usual.
