Giasuddin Selim directional “Kajal Rekha” is being screened in theatres across the country as an Eid film. Popular actor, model Rafiath Rashid Mithila has played a negative role in this movie for the first time.

She has portrayed the character Kankan Dasi in the project. Mithila is getting huge positive response for her performance in the movie.

The audiences have also a special love for this movie. Because, they are finding the heritage of Bengal in “Kajol Rekha”. Be it in story, location, dress, song, and the perfect performance of the artistes in every role is also creating love in the mind of the audience for the movie.

About the response for “Kajal Rekha”, Mithila said, “I really did not expect the amazing response I have received so far after the release of ‘Kajol Rekha’. Because my screen presence was less and the character was also negative. Since it was the first time to play a negative role, I was a little worried. But all in all, I’m really impressed with the way I’m getting love from everyone.”

Meanwhile, Mithila said that there are four movies in which she has acted in Dhallywood and Tollywood waiting for release. The two movies that are awaiting release in Bangladesh are Arun Chowdhury’s “Jole Jole Tara” and Lubna Sharmin’s “Nuliachharir Sonar Pahar”. On the other hand, Arnab Midda’s “Meghla” and Dulal De’s “Aranyer Prachin Probad” are awaiting release in West Bengal.

Mithila is very optimistic about the movies. She said, “I’m optimistic about the four films that are waiting for release. Especially for ‘Meghla’, where I will play the title role. The story and directors of the rest are also excellent in a word.”

It may be mentioned that, Mithila won the Best Actress award for her performance in the film “O Abhagi” at the 14th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival 2024 in Delhi Tuesday.
