Human chain protesting harassment at Chhatak Electricity Office

A human chain was held in protest of the harassment of the common people of the area by the employee named Md. Ali Hossain at the Chhatak Electricity Office in the name of fraud, false cases, fake bills and meter changes.
Prominent cleric and Chhatak Municipality BNP member Md. Akil Ali presided over the human chain organized by the villagers of Charanband at the Charanband Shahi Jame Mosque premises of the municipality on Saturday at 11 am.
Former councilor Md. Masuk Mia, municipal BNP member Kabirul Hasan Angur, mosque committee president Haji Abdus Sattar, general secretary Maulana Abdul Haque, Murabba Md. Azad Mia, Jamaat leader Md. Hanif Ali, municipal Jubo Dal joint convener Khalilur Rahman, ward BNP convener Md. Lalu Shah, municipal volunteer Dal joint convener Dilwar Hossain, businessman Md. Mamun Mia, Faisal Talukder, Md. Babul Mia, and Chhatak Faria president Md. Manik Mia spoke at the human chain.
At that time, people from all walks of life in the area, including journalists from online and print media, were present at the human chain. The speakers strongly demanded the expulsion of Ali Hossain from the electricity office and legal action against him.
Later, former municipal councilor Md. Masuk Mia submitted a written complaint against Ali, an illegal employee of the electricity office, to Md. Abdul Majid, executive engineer of the Chhatak BIBO of the electricity department.
